EWB Officers Meeting, Minutes for April 1, 2005

1. Discussed that PSU has not yet signed the chapter agreement. Should be resolved soon and then EWB will be an official group.

2. Volunteers called student group fair Thursday 7th of April 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. Nick and Colleen will represent EWB.

3. Discussed student elections Jason will lead. Set tentative date for the first Monday of May (May 2, 2005).

4. Discussed SOC chair for EWB. Bethany Jackson will be interim officer for this year. Will add this to the officersą positions to be elected this May.

5. Discussed room scheduling in Smith Center or in SB2 no good options at this point. Will talk to Dr. Bertini about possible use of the ITE lab.

6. Will apply for the $200 student group money from the SOC. Will also apply for voice mail line for EWB. Additionally, Nick will have Web-site hosting through SOC set up today.

7. Colleen discussed a recent lunch with Joe (Professional Chapter). Ashram project will not be taken unless a project manager will commit. We are asked to promote the project in hopes that a professional will take the position. Anyone should relate this information to any interested parties. Tsunami relief teams are a current possible new line of direction for the possible chapter. There will likely be positions for student members on these teams.

8. Discussed other options to toward getting PSU EWB a project. Will need people to view national projects and find one that interests them and bring them to the next meeting. Will also need a faculty mentor should have support. PSU EWB members are encouraged to discuss faculty support with their professors.

9. Next professional meeting will be next Wednesday (April 6, 2005). Student members are encouraged to attend and see where the professional chapter is at.

10. Will have a professional member (2-potential) at the Monday meeting (April 4, 2005) who will act as EWB PSU mentor.
