1. EWB at PSU meetings will be at noon on the first Friday of the month in room 103 in the Engineering Building. Margaret, (secretary) will send out an announcement one week before each monthly and will get the room booked for the year.
2. Note to Nick (webmaster) to post on Web site the location and time of meetings.
3. Norm (treasurer) will go to the Student Fee Committee meeting to apply of funding dates??? Margaret to go too. 4. Talk to Nick (Vice President) to talk to PCC as an idea for recruiting.
5. Party in the Park is Sept. 28th, 2006. Matt, Alex, and Bryan to work the table. EWB PSU list server email to announce Party in the Park and invite others to help or stop by. Margaret will get display ready as soon as possible.
6. Norm and Margaret working on getting EWB PSU business cards printed.
7. Fundraising using Chinook Books is occurring. Books available during Party in the Park.
8. Margaret will check outside of PSU email, EWBPSU@pdx.edu, and forward when necessary.
9. Service trip to Nicaragua will again be assisted by Institute on Aging and the Jessie Richardson Foundation. Classes with the Institute on Aging will be required in order to travel. Participants must go to 3 out of 4 classes each 2 hours long. Presentation to Nicaraguan government representative will be needed.
10. Service trip may be moved to summer months rather than spring break. Capstone for students may be affected. Further discussion to occur.
11. Bryan (President) has visited Rotary meetings in Milwaukee and Salem to network and encourage support for EWB PSU. Bryan, also attending Newberg Rotarian meeting later this summer
12. Teamworks International (contact there is Matt Gerber) may be another organization to team with particularly the Assessment Team.
13. Need mentors both professional and PSU faculty that can travel with EWB PSU. Bryan Bogus and Carol Hasenberg will not be mentors this year. Contact Lal Harbans, Karen Shimada, and Brad Bogus of the Portland Professional Chapter of EWB for help. Talk to Dr. Wells for help.
14. Rob (Project Coordinator) requests backing from EWB PSU for bioswales. Would like help from Architects Without Borders. Help with permitting and getting CADD help. Projects are harder to get done in USA. Need help to turnout drawings.
15. Joe Waln old Professor (PSU?) is president of Architects Without Borders (?).
16. Architects Without Borders to be contacted (Rob?) for their meeting times and possible joint projects with EWB PSU.
17. Key access to design room on 4th Floor Engineering Bldg. for officers is available. Email Bryan with your name, student ID # to get access.
18. Rob would like everyone in EWB PSU to be emailed asking for CADD help.
19. EWB at PSU list serve messages to go out at the most twice a month. Officers and others with announcements need to get announcement to Margaret by noon on the last Thursday of the Month, because the regular EWB PSU monthly meeting announcement will go out the next day, i.e. last Friday of the month.
